- It was your JOB to do the work. My job is not digging through the NCDC data. You wouldn't expect a prosecution lawyer to tell the judge and jury that they should gather the evidence would you? If you come to a debate with a position - back it up with evidence.

- Why don't you ask the Inuit about the polar bears. Bringing Al Gore into this demonstrates that you approach this from a party line perspective even though political affiliation has no bearing on the discussion. You are simply biased and that is why you remain unconvinced.

- As a scientist I see every day the ways in which people convince themselves that they are smarter than a scientist. If a scientist says something is so, then they automatically take the opposing view. It seems to fulfill some deep seeded urge to either be right or to feel in control.
